Section 01 / Equipment price examples
An asking price is what the seller is prepared to accept today for a specific machine in its current condition. It is not an appraisal and not a market average. These six units were selected from the public inventory of Florida Heavy Equipment Sales LLC to show one machine from each of its main categories. Year, hours, highlights, prices, and photos are the dealer's own, as published in its inventory.

Section 02 / What affects equipment value?
Used equipment is priced machine by machine. The same four inputs sit behind almost every number on a dealer lot; read them together, and an asking price starts to make sense.
Model year is the first thing a buyer reads and the first thing a price reflects. Newer machines carry current emissions tiers, newer electronics, and more remaining service life, so they hold more of their original price. Age also sets expectations: a ten-year-old machine is priced on condition, a two-year-old machine on what it cost new.
On the lot · The examples above span model years 2020 to 2023, and the price order does not follow age alone: the 2020 wheel loader is the highest-priced unit, the 2023 mini excavator the lowest.
Hours are the odometer of heavy equipment. They say how much of the engine, hydraulics, and undercarriage has already been used up. Low hours on an older machine can mean light duty or long storage; high hours on a newer machine mean hard, continuous work. Hours are read together with age, never alone.
On the lot · On this lot the 2022 Caterpillar 259D3 is listed at 226 hours and the 2020 Caterpillar D6 LGP at 4,943 hours: two machines from the same dealer with very different working lives behind them.
Two machines with the same year and hours can be priced far apart. Service records, undercarriage and tire wear, hydraulic leaks, cab condition, and whether major components have been rebuilt all move the number. A documented maintenance history is worth real money because it removes guesswork for the next owner.
On the lot · Florida Heavy Equipment Sales LLC states on its About page that every unit goes through a mechanical review and a title and service history check before it is listed. Confirm condition yourself: inspect in person or ask for the records.
Brand sets the resale floor: makes with dense dealer and parts networks resell more easily and for more. Within a brand, the specific model and its configuration matter as much as the badge. Cab versus open station, track width, attachments, lift capacity, and included implements each change what a machine can do and what it is worth.
On the lot · Configuration is visible right in the listings: an LGP (low ground pressure) undercarriage on the D6, a hydraulic thumb on the 305 CR, a loader included with the Maxxum 125, and a 9,000 lb lift rating on the JCB telehandler.
